Over time the multiple belts and hoses needed to keep your vehicle running smoothly will wear out and need replacement. Our factory trained service technicians at Galpin Lincoln can inspect and replace any belts or hoses as needed.
Your vehicle uses belts to run items such as the alternator, water pump, air conditioning and power steering. Many vehicles use timing belts that are integral in keeping the engine running, and can cause costly repairs if not replaced in time.
Hoses are used for your car’s heating and cooling system. If these hoses fail they can cause the engine to overheat, which may lead to more issues. Many of these issues can be prevented with a simple visual inspection by a member of our service team.

Do I need to replace a belt if it is squealing?
Yes. If a belt is squealing, even if it is just when you start the car, it is slipping and causing additional wear and should be replaced.
How often do I need to change the timing belt?
Your car’s owner’s manual will have the replacement interval for the timing belt. If the timing belt fails, it may cause damage to the engine.
When do my car’s hoses need to be replaced?
There is not a set interval of when hoses need to be replaced. A service technician at Galpin Lincoln can let you know if a hose needs replacement.
