Will Lincoln Bring The Continental Back To Los Angeles? Galpin Lincoln
After 13 years, and Lincoln is finally bringing the Lincoln Continental back. The Continental will make its debut at the New York auto show and expected to hit dealerships in 2016. The concept vehicle will be painted a deep Prussian blue in celebration of older Continental’s in the 50s and 60s.
The very first Lincoln Continental was built in 1938 and quickly became recognized as one of the leading luxury automobiles in the US. Sales for the Continental reached an all level high in 1190 with 62,732 models sold. The model is currently particularly in high demand in China where consumers are appreciating the vehicle’s rich history. Full-size sedans such as the Continental may be more difficult to sell in the states because many consumers prefer midsize sedans or SUVs.
The new Lincoln Continental will feature a redesigned rectangular grille. A large number of high-tech features have been included such as the moon roof which has the ability to turn opaque by adjusting a button. The Lincoln Continental will feature a 3 L V-6 ecco-boost engine although further details have not been released by Lincoln yet.
